Change
So there is the most beautiful ash tree outside my north facing window just hanging out in my neighbors yard. Its bright yellow leaves are mimicking the sunshine and it is quite deceiving on this cold november day. I’ve come to the conclusion that it is an ash tree as I have been bugging my buddy google for the past half hour. I am enjoying the fall beauty as long as I can, for I know that it won’t be long before all the trees are bare and only jack frosts designs remain.
So last week I mentioned that Davids ball was on the line due to the pending election, so with much happiness and relief I can say that his genitalia and the white house are in a safer place at this time. That tuesday we spent the night huddled in front of the Tv with friends, homemade pizza and beergaritas- new favorite pizza: pineapple and sauerkraut…….um! So there we were with melted cheese and tequila, cigarette smoke floating above our heads, collecting in a film on the ceiling, watching with glee as Obama sailed ahead of McCain. Finally when in a burst of excitement we knew he had won, out came the champagne and shouts of joy, the phone calls to parents and friends, and then silence and even a few tears when he took the stage and we knew that change had, indeed, come to america.
Today is another lazy day, the cold makes me unmotivated and perfectly happy to stay inside. We even headed in before midnight on saturday due to that very reason.
